I loved this. Baby Gators! I was also told the animal life is much more active in the winter months as well as early morning. I will definitely be coming back!

Trail mostly shaded. Lack in the diversity of plant life. It was an easy trail though parts of the boardwalk were closed off. Saw mostly butterflies, a couple turtles, birds, lizards, and an armadillo. Overall not that interesting but a nice walk.

very nice walk. lots of wildlife to see...
I've been there at least a dozen times. EvEr season brings different types of wildlife. I've seen pigs, alligators, otters, raccoons, birds, snakes, spiders, turtles, and fish. it's peaceful..well most of the time. sometimes you can here some loud people coming through. i try to get ahead or wait until they go through because they scare everything away.
i try to be quiet...so you can see n hear nature.
love it ...shade...benches to sit.. bathroom only at entrance...so go before you hit the trail.

Kid friendly and extremely beautiful. A bit crowded if your looking for peaceful.

Love this place, just wish it was dog friendly!

Very beautiful and peaceful place.

One of my favorite places with my classmates studying coastal marine ecology. This area is beautiful, and holds so many wonders that go unseen at first glance.

I prefer more challenging hikes, but this little boardwalk was fantastic for bird watching. Very mobility friendly (kids, wheelchairs) and lots of different types of flora.

Walking trail built into the swamp. Not long but had some great views with wildlife. Birds, turtles and gators with plenty of fauna.

Nice, easy trail :). Some wildlife, central location.

Easy trail with a nice boardwalk. Nice sights of a small lake and a few ponds. Decent wildlife viewing. Not many people on the trail. If you stop and watch for a little while, you might see some raccoons and otters.

If you're looking for vast open spaces, this isn't the trail for you. It's an awesome path that weaves through a swampy preserved land. You will see a lot of cool birds and if you're lucky you might run into a raccoon like I did. It's a good place to see if you're visiting.

This is a great walk close to Fort Myers and Cape Coral. It's a great opportunity to see a piece of old Florida that has been saved and preserved thanks to some dedicated citizens. Thank you. This is a short trail - just over a mile long - but will take you a while if you take your time. Take your time, enjoy the quiet and the peaceful serenity in this wonderful eco system. The swamp is a beautiful place, teaming with life above, below and all around. If you are quiet and proceed in stealth mode the swamp will come alive. You will see beautiful herons, turtles, frogs and maybe even some alligators. The walk is on a boardwalk so don't worry, you won't get wet or muddy.

This trail is a "must do" walk if you enjoy the old Florida eco systems. You should also make it a point to visit the interactive visitor center. This building is a LEED Silver certified building and has been constructed to be completely green with renewable building products. It is an excellent example of what can be done with a public / private cooperative project.

Enjoy - and remember ----- Shhhsssss!

Decent trail. I probably could have seen more wildlife if I hadn't gone at midday in June, but I did see a small alligator and a few turtles. It may be a short hike but don't underestimate it- bring plenty of water.

A fine trail for my Eight and Nine year old sons.

This is a great boardwalk to view Florida wildlife. We saw a lot of birds, some alligators and turtles. It is mostly shaded; which makes it nice to visit when it is hot in direct sun.
