Some great views of the distant Twin Peaks, and was able to observe a blue heron on the lake. The flat loop nature of this appeared to make an appealing choice for runners and casual bikers; do note that this trail primarily runs through neighborhoods and is close to a busy highway, which creates some traffic noise. A nice place to stretch your legs, but not for getting out into quiet outdoor spaces.

Agree that it has lovely views and large birds, Eagles are often there. It's a go- to trail because I am close and don't always want to drive far to hike. Longmont truly needs more trails!!

Easy hike for the kids

Participated in a 5K walk here and enjoyed it. An easy walk, pretty lake, not spectacular as it's basically in the middle of a neighborhood. Probably great for kids and local families, has a park feel.

Beautiful homes to look at, peaceful but not real exciting....its a nice lake to walk if you live in the area, nothing worth driving a 1/2hr for.
