Washoe Meadows State Park consists of meadows and woodlands in the valley at the base of the escarpment leading to Echo Summit. The park was named for the Native Americans who inhabited the area for thousands of years. The park lands have not been developed

Scenic views every step of the way! A steep hike and the trail is tiny and rocks all the way. A different experience.

Nice trail and our 2 and 3 yo could walk everything on their own.
Strollers could be possible, but then they have to be stable ones with big wheels.

Easy hike along the lake. Pretty busy trail (we saw a ton of people) but nice lake views the entire time.

Gorgeous views. The trail is rocky but relatively flat. The toughest part is making sure you don't twist your ankle. We took the water taxi back and that was a treat. It shows a different perspective. Lovely and worth it.

Love it! Easy, kid friendly, dog friendly and the place is amazing!

Really enjoyed this trail. Mostly gradual inclines and flat areas, so it was great for my dog and I to go on our own. There was a thunderstorm while we were hiking, which made it even better!

Our family of all ages does this hike every year. It's beautiful. We picnic and swim in the upper lake. Can water taxi in and/or out which is great for bringing in coolers etc. You can rent kayaks, has a small store/ deli with ice cream! The kids love it at the end of the day. Closes at 5pm. Water taxi closed at 4:30. I recommend a hiking stick for unsteady people, a lot of uneven surfaces. Usually crowded. Bathrooms at the beginning of the trail. Must have your personal Kayak inspected ahead of time to bring it in Echo Lake.
