Just outside my front door. Nice easy walk along the marshes. Cool birds and in the summer, usually a cool breeze from the bay. One day I want to take a paddle board out on the creek itself. It can get muddy after a rain, and the ground is pretty pocky. So don't twist an ankle.

If you take this trail from the China Camp Village parking lot south along the ridge trail (the china camp village trail will take you to the ridge trail), it's an amazing view of the Bay all the way over to Richmond. It's an easy walk, but you can get great mileage out of it too.

The problem is that it's extremely popular with cyclists. If you can go during a weekday, you might be ok - otherwise, you are guaranteed to be moving for cyclists every 5 minutes or so. It can be stressful.

A very casual, easy walk with many birds and small critters to observe. The entire hike is out in the open with no shade, therefore if done on a hot day, take that into consideration.
