Owens Peak, the highest point in the southern Sierra Nevada Mountains at more than 8,400 feet, stands near the center of Owens Peak Wilderness. Tougher than expected, didn't make it all the way to the top, the sun was dropping pretty quick and we didn't want to hike out in the dark. Can't wait to go back and complete the whole hike.

Weather was nice & we were the only ones up here. Lots of lady bugs @ the top ; ) You can see in ALL directions around you from this peak. Second time up here & Im sure ill be back again. Its a good all day hike!
