trail running

Steep enough to make for a good hilly run. Not much scenery.

It was a nice place to ride. I was there visiting and was able to bring my bike. Just kinda rode with no set path and really enjoyed the down hill sections. I wish I knew what trails to tie together

The north third of this park is developed with ball fields, BMX track, picnic areas and paved walkways. The south two thirds of this park is undeveloped with a lot more trails than are marked on the terrain map. Switch to Satellite view and zoom in to see the extensive trail network, and maybe more importantly, where you can't get to or how much down and up there'll be if you take some trail down from the top. Accessing the hilltop from Calle Montilla or Calle Andalucia will give you the views with only 35-ft of climb. It's 150-ft or 135-ft climb to the top via the two trails from the park's main parking lot.
The site is very popular with parasailers; it is a commercial training hill. Kid and novice mountain bikers also frequent the southern section.
The 'trail' is 'easy' due to the short duration most hikers will spend here. But the steep climb from the parking lot warrant's the moderate rating. But if you walk all over and around the park it could take you 1.5 to 2 hours to go on the 4.3-mi hike shown at (This map shows starting and ending at one of the south-side parking areas you can access off of Cliff Drive, but you can follow the loop starting at the main parking lot. Suggesting selecting the satellite view this map too.)
