For MTBing I'd rate the trail mrore towards the hard side. It's a continuous climb towards the top and in some areas it is fairly steep. IF your fitness levels aren't up to par you will struggle mightily with the climb. The singletrack descent near the top where it meets Rocky Peak Trail is pretty technical and I would rate it as hard. After that the trail widens and it becomes rather easy even for a novice. There's not too many blind corners so you should have ample room to see others on the trail and slow down. The trail is on the side of a mountain so if you go off of it you're going to have a bad time.
Easier hiking option or steeper trail both take you one mile to top of hill to a bench. Great views nice wider trail with mile markers. Maybe a bit too steep for young kids and older non experienced hikers but definitely still considered an easy hike just west of rocky peak trails. Right next to the trail there is a paved road that will take you to a water tank easiest walk but not as nature pretty.
