Great trail. Enjoyed seeing all the different bird species. We did not make it as far as we wanted because the mosquitos are really bad. Make sure you bring a lot of bug spray.

Absolutely great trail for the beginner. I started this trail yesterday mid-day (luckily it wasn't too hot) it has great views as it follows the San Pedro river east toward Hereford. It's all level ground and an easy walk. They do have a trail brochure at the store that you can use in addition to the markers placed on the trail to learn more about the wildlife and the geography. I did see a Rattler on the trail, but it is southern Arizona, so it's going to be hit or miss wherever you go. The wild life here is incredible! Fish, hundreds of lizards, cranes, and humming birds will delight you your whole way through.

VERY family friendly trail. Pretty trail too as far as trails go in this region. If the store is open they will lend you binoculars to see birds. The pond is very relaxing and scenic.
