Loved this trail. But the address should be given as thunderbird conservation park. Around 0.2 miles from the parking lot there we took a right turn and landed up on Coach Whip Trail. (I think you should change the name).

I hike /run this at least 3 times a week, is great for training

Easy and effortless:)

The trail is heavily traveled. But the view of the rolling hills and sun set make up for it! Park ranger yelled at me for being there past sun set. Isn't that why we go, to see the sunset??? Gimme a break.

Great local hike for a bit of stair stepping and areas to run in the trail. Great flow to the trail.

loved it

Easy beginner trail

Very fun, challenging, and rewarding loop. Nice plateau at the top with decent 360° views. You can start with the more difficult part first, head south from the parking lot, and ascend from south west side, coming down on the north side facing the parking lot, OR go south from the parking lot, taking a left at the fork, and head up the more gradual way, but have a more steep descend. Either way, it'll be a great time. Take snacks and plenty of water. You'll definitely burn up some energy getting to the top.

Safe journey!

good but technical

This is close by and easily accessible with plenty of parking. The kids and I have done this hike on many occasions.

My favorite nearby exercise spot.

The map was really confusing and somehow we ended up on a much harder trail. Awesome views tho!

Thunderbird and Deem Hills parks are both nice for anyone living in the West Valley Phoenix area. Most trails are loops from easy to moderate difficulty. I like them both

I'm not sure how mountain bikers or runners manage to get through this trail with all the broken rocks but as a casual hiker, I was happy to ascent, get my heart racing, my shoes bending and my mouth soaking. I am happy to have found a close by moderate loop to enjoy. There weren't too many people out and the views were great. So many nearby mountains and a generous 360 reward depending on where you find yourself on the mountain!
