Nice trail not overly crowded, not too noisey, peaceful!
Jesse, this WALKING trail would no doubt be less crowded for all the "elite" cyclists that can't read the signs that clearly say 'NO BICYCLES'
Don't rate a trail 3 stars because you feel entitled to cycle on a walking trail. You don't see me driving my truck down a bike trail do you? Keep it on the road!
An innercity trail that runs along and through a floodplain. It is a wide, paved trail that is well maintained and seems to always have people walking, running, biking and skating. One portion of the trail goes through a nice stand of woods and gives a feeling of being out in the country. Another section runs parallel to a busy four lane road and reminds you that you are still in the city. Overall, a nice getaway from the city while still in the city.
This is a wonderful trail if you can't find the time to drive out of town. It's paved, tree-lined, and always peopled with friendly folks - bikers, walkers, roller-bladders, and runners. Nearby Lakeshore Blvd. has traffic, so there is a little city background noise. The trail moves along a nice creek and is usually pretty shady in most places.
